The Agile Manifesto:

I just wanted to share the agile manifesto with all of you because I’d be referring to it quite often while talking about various agile practices and real-life project management experiences.

The gurus of the software development world said the following:

“We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more. ”

I’ll shed more light on each value in my future postings. But right now I just want you all to take a minute and ponder on what’s being said in the Agile Manifesto and perhaps even debate on why items on the left are better (or worse for those who disagree) than the items on the right.
